Stylish roller blind is an oxymoron. Grin

www.surfaceview.co.uk/shop/windows/blind These people do nice blinds.

And if your windows are architecturally attractive in their own right and if it satisfies your light and privacy requirements, would you consider window film?

Or these plain linen ones are lovely but it may not work with your new kitchen.

Ha ha I know what you mean OP! I had a few windows where nothing else would work, and windows that wouldn't take standard off the peg rollers. Used laura Ashley made-to-measure and was very pleased with the results. Would definitely recommend.

I just made my own - it was dead easy. Bought Schumacher heritage fabric from eBay, blind mechanisms and stiffner from merrick and day and made 5 in a weekend for a total cost of about £150. I'm really pleased with them, might be worth considering?

I've got this John Lewis blind for the playroom. I think it looks lovely and cheerful

for a kitchen, a plain pale colour might do. You can get some which are a kind of wipe-clean vinyl rather than fabric.

I'm with Belloc on this one. Sorru, but imo roller blinds are horrible. I get that they are more practical in a kitchen than other blinds because the fabric is "plasticised"or partly vinyl, but there are other options.

Window film would be my preference, and you can get some really good ones these days. However, if you've got a view at you want to look at, then venetian blinds would be good. I've had them before in a kitchen, they do have to be taken down and cleaned every so often which is a bit of a pain. But Imo they are a better bet than roller blinds.

In my current kitchen/diner I've got Roman blinds as the windows are nowhere near the kitchen end of the room. The back door is in the kitchen and we've got a "perfect fit" blind there. If I had windows in the kitchen end of the room then I'd probably use Perfect Fit blinds there as well.
