How to strip paint off tiles?

It turns out that underneath the paint in the bathroom are some nice tiles.

How do I get the paint off? Some bits have chipped off, and over time the bits of paint that are getting wet from the tap come off easier, but it doesn't come off readily.

I'm worried scraping might hurt the tiles underneath. Is there a chemical I can use that will help, but not hurt the tiles maybe?

What's a good way to do this?

CHeers :)

I think paint stripper can be used over tiles but you will have to be really careful not to get it on other stuff! There is a water based stripper which is less likely to damage stuff but not as effective. Also many recommend using metal scouters to finish off but these may mark your tiles.
I also think that any grout may be stained and you might have to regrout or use a grout pen to freshen up. I chickened out and just re painted the tiles at mine in white, there originial colour rather then the pink to match the bath the previous owners thought was a good idea! Mind you the bath sealant won't stick or pulls the paint off so not sure that was a good idea either Confused

I used Nitromors to strip paint off fireplace tiles in our house. The tiles are normal ceramic ones and had been painted with emulsion (who thought that was a good idea?) so it came off quite easily.
