Builders working Sunday, breach of PW but are there really any consequences?

As subject really.
Neighbouring house is being built (from scratch, previous was knocked down) & PWA said no Sunday working, but 1st weekend and here they are.
DH has been out & asked them to respect the agreement and not work today but they're carrying on regardless (have something booked for tomorrow they need to prepare for apparently).
Will keep a record but really, are there realistic sanctions to breach of Party Wall agreements?
Had a search on line but it seems not, just slow, expensive legal processes.

I've taken photos in case it happens regularly and we decide to try to enforce.

The pw agreement is just that. They can only work on the party wall at specific times. They can work on the rest of the sure when they like, unless stipulated in planning permission. It is a pain but the more they work the quicker they will finish.

Site not sure.

Yes it won't cover the whole site- just work on your party wall.

Can you search the web site of your local authority? Possibly under environmental health/noise.

Building site work in our area mustn't make a noise audible beyond the boundry of the property outside of working hours which are given as 8am-6pm Mon-Fri and 8am-1pm on Sat. No noise on Sundays or Bank Holidays.

No, they can't work at all on Sundays is in the PWA.

They've signed this agreement but are not sticking to it & that is quite a standard policy I believe but the Q is, how do you make a builder stick to the agreement!

Looked on local council website, seems to have to be a continual noise annoyance etc, rather than just one occasion, I don't think they'd be interested.

There are diggers going etc, we certainly can hear it from indoors with windows closed!
