I am overwhelmed with options, and in need of advice...

I'm getting two 100cm wardrobes, with Bergsbo white doors, the tall version. At the moment, I'm thinking of a high shelf, then hanging rail (with differing drop) then drawers/shelves/baskets. They seem to have discontinued the chest of drawers that you could just put in whole, so the drawers need to be bought individually now.

What would people recommend? Shelves, normal drawers, drawers with glass front, baskets? 100cm wide or use a divider to get narrower drawers/shelves? And any of the other extra interior fittings - are any of them a godsend?

I need to fit absolutely everything in here bar coats and shoes, so am looking to take full advantage of all the options.

best way is to measure the hanging space required to suit your clothes by height ( ie 70 cm of trousers/jeans at 90cm high - and 30cm of shirts at 95cm high - 100cm of dresses 120cm high etc etc ) and the see if you can fit everything in either in two hanging areas ie top and bottom with shelf in middle - or one cupboard with a tightly longer hanging abs drawers at the bottom,

Shelves aren't great for clothes because the wardrobes are so deep, so you end up with two layers (but are fine for, say, high storage of big items like suitcases etc).

The pullout wire baskets are great, and very cheap. Also get a couple of the canvas cube boxes for the floor of the wardrobe - great for shoes and handbags.

Work out what you need for hanging space, and work from there.

We have them - two 100cm and one of those is connected to a corner wardrobe.

I have a high shelf for little used items then hanging rail for single height hanging, shelf below, a wooden drawer for undies, a basket for t shirts and things which don't need to be hung up, the shoe rack with shelf directly underneath and another basket under that with jumpers in it.

DP has high shelf for jumpers (he's tall and doesn't wear these very often), hanging rail for half hanging, shelf and another shelf under that, two drawers and shoe rack. I'd have put another drawer in instead of the lower shelf space if it were me tbh because the wardrobes are deep front to back so it's not easy to reach things.

Corner wardrobe has high shelf with handbags and hold all, etc, rail all round, half of which is full length hanging with lower shelf below that. Under the half hanging we've got one of those three section inserts. Under the lower shelf I have storage boxes with out of season clothes.

You can get loads in - they're huge. I saw the chest of drawers insert and thought that was great - shame they've stopped doing it.

I really thought long and hard about what was going in the wardrobes and where. You get much more in the baskets than the drawers, but DP doesn't like the baskets Hmm.

One thing I would change is I wouldn't have handles if we did them again - I'd use the besta push close things fixed to an internal shelf.

I have two the same as you. Both have a high shelf for storing things like bags I rarely use etc. Then both have hang rails underneath. One has a longer drop for dresses and coats, the other a shorter one for tops, underneath which is a trouser hangar (brilliant) then a drawer for undies. Under the longer drop rail I have a shelf with compartments and under that a wire basket for shoes.
