Worktop for a kitchen with curved cabinets

Can anyone recommend a worktop that isn't wood or granite that would work with a kitchen with curved corner cabinets?

Wood would look lovely, but we're worried about it getting damaged - people keep warning us not to get it. I'd be bound to put a hot pan down on it. We're looking at laminates, but I'm not sure how this will look with the curves.

Has anyone else done this, and what did you go for? This is the kitchen:

I have v similar kitchen units. We used Earthstone worktops from B&Q for our wet areas and had an amazing oak breakfast bar from this company

Earthstone tricky to work with so you'd need a really good chippy/kitchen fitter who's worked with it before or who's an expert stone worktop cutter outer Smile

Thanks, will take a look at B&Q - do you have curved corners on your units, and how does the edge of the earthstone work with that?

we've got curved cabinets both concave & convex and Silestone (Quartz) worktops. They just cut them to match.
There are a few examples on the website of the guys who did our kitchen here ours isn't on there as we've only just had it done.

with laminate you wouldn't be able to put a hot pan either. at least with wood if it did mark you can sand it out.

I've just had wood put in and I was really stressed about the maintainance aspect but actually it's been fine.

I'm just about to have granite with curved units - not sure why you have ruled it out?

Have only ruled out granite because I prefer other looks, nothing wrong with granite itself. :)

I guess with wood, I've been slightly scared off by the warnings about water markings as well as hot pans.
