Sadly we need to sell a property we have where my husband and I were brought up. We have used it to visit family/old friends whenever we can. However, now we need to sell :(
I wondered have you sold your holiday/second home? Did you have success which a local agent or did you use a nationwide firm? Our home is in Wales on the coast.

We are currently trying to sell a holiday home and, despite reducing the price and having viewings, no go so far. Not in the same area as yours. We picked a local agent but not the most local as we wanted one in the town full of holiday-makers! Our village one closes for lunch and on Saturday afternoons which we did not think was helpful. They also wanted 2% commission even though they let the house out for us and we pay them 20% on all letting income for this and have done for years - in other words, ££££ every year. A local agent should be on Rightmove, Zoopla or Primelocation. Just because they are local does not prevent them from using these. We have no nationwide agents where we are but we went with the most pro-active, switched on and active agents who immediately quoted 1.5%. I now think the price is too high as I think prices are still depressed in our area despite our fabulous coastal views and a house that needs nothing doing to it. Agent is still very upbeat though.
