We have a tradtitional washing line at the back of our garden. We're planning on redoing the garden and turning the back half into vegetable beds, so need to move the washing line. I don't really want it at the front of the garden, because we use the garden a lot. Also the main room of the house looks over the garden and I dont want to be looking at washing,
We have a paved area to the side of the house which is a bit redundant, apart from a basket ball hoop for ds. I was wondering if I could put a rotary dryer there but don't know how to make it stable. Would a cast iron parasol base work, or would the washing line plus weight of washing mean it just tips over? Alternatively, do you think it would be possible to drill into the paving stones and put in a ground spike? I'd want to be able to take the line down when ds wants to play basket ball.
