Emergency house buying advice!

Have viewed a house twice, with two different agents. Agent A I rang first, but they didn't have an appointment for a few days, so I then rang Agent B, who could get me in to see it quicker. I then used the Agent A appointment as a second viewing.

I want to put in an offer. It's a repossession, and Agent A has had an offer of the asking price that has been accepted. As it's a repossession both agents are under obligation to keep it marketed and keep viewings going.

Agent B hasn't told me about the offer, which makes me think one agent doesn't know what the other is doing.

Which agent do I make my offer to? Is it better to have an agent with two 'in house' offers, or have two agents competing against each other?

God, I hate the English way of doing things but my gut reaction would be put your offer thought Agent B. Keeps you away from the buyer who has offered through agent A,.

Why do I want to be kept away? Sorry if that's a daft question, not been in this situation before.

I wondered whether Agent A is more 'in the loop' with the vendor (their bank) as they are the ones who have have been speaking to them about the offer they've already had.

I'm bracing myself for this all being very stressful, but we really want the house.

You may have unwittingly made it quite complicated for the agents now as both will argue for the fee as both showed you round the house.

I think with repos they then have to advertise in the paper that they have had an offer of x. In some ways therefore it is irrelevant as it will all be out in the public domain

Choose the nicest!

Oh dear, I was just keen to get in and look, it seemed a good idea at the time!

That won't leave me liable in any way though, will it? Argh!

I think it's best to be honest, tell both agents what's happened, that you want to make an offer and ask if they can come to an agreement.

I'd tell both, then it becomes their problem to sort out.

No not your prob. Quite amusing really. Agree tell them. They can share the fee!
