Urgent Q - estate agents photos

Ok it's not THAT urgent but I'm having pics done and dh reckons we need to stash the kettle & toaster somewhere to make the kitchen look better. Is he right? We've already hidden so much stuff that I'm not sure I can find
another nook or cranny

I think it helps to clear away as much has you can but for our photos I did leave out kettle but out toaster in cupboard.

Toaster away, kettle on show. But yes, keep it as uncluttered as you can.

Oh make sure you turn on all the lights for the photos!

If you have a tiny tiny kitchen, then yeah maybe stash it (car?) but if its a regular sized or big kitchen then kettle out and if its a matching/smart toaster then thats ok too but if its just a cheapy then hide it.

Don't forget you don't have to stash these things, just move them out of shot. I just held loads of stuff while the photographer took pictures.

How good are you at photos? Because it might be worth spending a couple of hours taking a set for yourself since it's all looking so pristine! In my experience, many estate agents turn up with a tiny digital camera these days, which doesn't always show the room to the best effect. This way, you can swap in any of your own pictures that are better.

Most tiny digital cameras are perfectly fine to use as long as they have a wide angled lens and the agent knows how to use them properly. That said, there is nothing better than professional photos which is what we have at my firm.

Definitely hide as much as you can...previous house had a very small hall, so before we had viewers we used to pile all the coats in the car....

We have two big dogs so when the estate agent came to take photos and when we had viewings DH took the dogs for a walk, we put the rather large dog beds in the summerhouse and I put my ironing basket in the car
