If you move to a house without a dishwasher

Do you put one in straight away or cope without?

I only got one very recently - I love every waking moment I'm not spending doing the washing up. It's taken years to break DH down and now he's the one cramming the crockery into every last space so he doesn't have to wash anything up!!

How much else needs doing in the house OP? For me it would depend on my list of priorities if I moved into a house without one. There might be other jobs I'd want to tackle first!

The house needs a replacement re-organised bathroom straight away as the roof is sloping and DH can't stand up in the bath for a shower where it is currently.

The kitchen will need doing eventually but will hold off until other jobs complete before going full steam ahead with that

We took a cupboard out to make space for the dishwasher the day after we moved in. Did the plumbing ourselves with a kit from B&Q (it's very easy)

I also worship my dw. It runs twice a day, everyday.
Yes I love it because it does the work, but I love how tidy it looks all day long. Everything is hidden.

I'd loose the clutter and remove a kitchen cupboard before I did without one.

Love mine beyond all measure!

no, we didn't use paper plates before it went in!

had to disassemble the kitchen a bit first to get at the space and plumbing, but it was installed in a couple of months. Then discovered quite a lot later that the plumbing was connected to the hot supply despite the blue tap on it....

now corrected. very handy device.

If you could put one in easily ie by just losing a cupboard and no plumbing issues etc then sounds like a good option to me!

There is a spare cupboard next to the sink.

How easy would it be to integrate one rather than remove cupboard and have to go freestanding?

Cope without still a year on until new kitchen is installed Confused
