white or pine VELUX windows?

I can't decide which to go for. Please help!

These are for a loft conversion in a Victorian terraced house.

I thought white to help create the illusion of light and space and also to be in keeping with the white sash windows we have elsewhere in the house.

Now I'm worried the white may look plastic-y and that pine may be a warmer, natural abd aesthethically pleasing look.

Walls will be painted white.

Just viewing them on the website makes it so difficult to work out which to go for.

What do folks think?

I've got two pine ones in white painted ceiling slopes and I like the pine against the white. I suppose it depends on what colour furniture you'll have in the room etc too?

I'm a big fan of wood so furniture will be wood so perhaps pine will be more in keeping. Now swinging towards pine....

I think white blend in better and so are more discreet.
They cost more though!

We have pine - it works well

i have just ordered veluxes for my loft conversion. i have gone for white because i thought they would last better and fit in better against a white painted sloped ceiling. pine isnt really my style.

depends on what decor you're going for?

Btw Makro are another brand of rooflight and cost a bit less than Velux, worth a look.

We've got pine in white ceilings - I like the look.

We have used The Rooflight Company's Conservation Range. They have much narrower frames than Velux and are more suitable for period houses. Their web site is very good. They are not cheap but they are a first class product for older houses, especially when viewed externally.
