Wallpapering whole room. Am I woefully out of date or a trend setter?

Decorating my living room at Easter and I've been looking at wallpapers as it is a large room and I want to make the walls a bit more interesting.

I am drawn to some very subtle and delicate papers and I am leaning towards papering all the walls rather than just a 'feature wall'.

Am I naff or could this look nice? It is a traditional house so I think it could work and the room is big enough to not feel closed in by patterned paper.

Found a couple of Laura Ashley papers I like but any recommendations of other places to look very welcome.

pasta sorry I was talking rubbish earlier - it was actually colefax and fowler wisteria - am sleep training youngest and it's clearly addled my brain.

Mine is probably similar to the duck paper in busyness but the design is flowers instead. I completely agree about the size of the room making a big difference. I put mine in entrance hall/ hallway and now it's all I bloody see every time I walk in ConfusedConfused

One wall papering reminds me of changing rooms and has been in fashion well over 10 years now, that's why I didn't do it in my home.

Trend setter. We had our living room done all over with Josette white/dove grey paper from Laura Ashley a couple of years ago, and I still love it. We're having some very bold paper put up in our (very light!) bedroom next week too. I'm a big fan of doing the whole room personally.

I do also do two walls, one chimney breast and one wall. Just to be awkward. I actually quite like feature walls, and I really like wallpaper under a picture rail. We could do it downstairs where we have the height, but our extension would look a bit daft as it's all straight lines and pitched ceilings. I'm considering an orla kiely feature wall though ;)

Beryl I've just done a small, potentially dark spare room in the ivory version of that Mulberry paisley and it's gorgeous. It picks up light through the gold elements and it softens the corners of the room so it feels larger.

Definitely do the whole room, much nicer IMHO!

I've ordered a sample of Beryl's paper too......! I'm hoping I don't like it as I didn't want to go above £50 per roll. Gah!

Hi , hope you can help. I'm decorating my bedroom and having terrible trouble deciding on paint colour, I've got the wallpaper for feature wall. Which is silver with a faint duck egg blue, lilac and pale green pattern trouble is I'm not keen on either D-E or L as paint colour ! Green (which is my favourite) is also out because my kitchen and toilet are green. Help please !

I love a wallpapered room but don't like any of the wallpapers I see in the usual diy stores. I really like small patterns but everything has huge flowers etc plastered over it. Hoping the trend swings back again soon. I'm actually decorating the whole house right now and just painting for now.

We just got back from a holiday home that had big floral wallpaper all over it in a very 80s way (I think it was from the 80s actually) but I found myself really liking it.

@Sadydew you'd be better starting a new thread on your question - everyone is going to respond to the original post, which is a different question to yours. Click on the "start a new thread" option at the top of the page.

Thanks awkwardpaws27 , first time I've done this ! I'll try again.
