Mortar cracked around two edges brick - do we need to worry?

The mortar is cracked along the edge and underneath of one brick. It's the very top brick on the corner of our property. There is no cracking around the brick on the other elevation it faces.

It's been there ever since I can remember. We have tiles on the internal side of the wall and there's no evidence of damp along grout or tiles becoming loose.

Does this sound like something to worry about?

I don't think so. Hope not. My house is over 100 years old and I'm sure lots of the mortar is cracked.

How big is the crack, how long has it been there, is it getting bigger.

Take a photo and date it, take another photo in one year/five years/ten yesrs/twenty years and see if it gets worse.

The crack has been there for as long as I can remember. Think I first noticed it 10 years ago, but it could have been there when we moved in approx. 15 years ago. Hasn't got any worse.

not a prob then. Have the mortar patched up or repointed. The brick itself might be loose and need to be lifted out and mortared in. You may get rainwater penetration in the crack.
