Bathroom design

Just had a comedy 30 mins in Bathstore with several attempts to get a design which didn't involve opening the door into the toilet and I've come away with a shower cubicle half over the window. Can anyone recommend an online design tool or somewhere slightly more switched on ?

It's 2.7m x 2.8m so I feel like it should be possible. I'm just not good at visualising.

Thanks

Can you draw on millimeter paper?

Yes but I was hoping to gain an insight into how much room you need around a toilet etc. 15cm between the bath and sink means you'd have to walk sideways to get to the toilet, but the rest of the room is empty.... I assume shower trays and glass enclosures can be any size really...

Contact OnePlan here or on Houzz, she came up with a great design for mine (3x3 so similar size).

you can still do that on paper, with scaled bath/toilet sink, move them around and scaled doors and people to see if it fits. It takes min to do.

There are fix standard sizes for everything (bath, shower trays, toilet and doors, more choices for basins) and you might not be able to move thing around too much because of the existing pipes.

But 2.7*2.8 seems quite generous

I drew a plan on squared paper so I'll cut out a little person and stick them in the bath and then on the toilet. Other than the sink unit at 120cm the baths appear to come in 5cm increments and showers in 10cm. I think toilets are 32-40cm wide and probably deeper.

I'm trying to avoid my father's bathroom "designed" by Dolphin. Shower cubicle you couldn't swing a cat in, corner bath you'd never have enough water to fill and basin taps that only just clear the back to allow the water into the basin. Yet the room is easily bigger than ours. Looks OK on paper though !

I've been playing on the ideal standard 3D planner.
