What's your kitchen worktop made out of? And do you like it?

I am sure this subject has been done to death but please humour me!
I am buying a new kitchen and am just do not know what to do about the worktop - every time I run a search I become even more confused about durability and price etc.
It will be a white-ish worktop - what is best - Corian, Quartz, Silestone? Or wot? Obviously I should go with laminate for price but I am not sure I can bear to....
There are also these Bushboard Encore acrylic worktops - anyone got them?

I have two properties, in my main house I have oiled walnut and it looks lovely but it is a real pain to keep free of stains and water damage. I have to re-oil it regularly to stop if getting dried out in places that get wiped down a lot.

I yell at everyone for not putting mats and trivets down everywhere and for leaving water sitting around the sink area and they yell back and say 'why did you choose this stupid worktop if it's not up to the job of everyday kitchen use?' they may have a point.

My second kitchen has solid oak Ikea worktop with a clear satin varnish coating and although I need to be a bit careful around the sink where water tends to sit, it's generally much, much more forgiving than the oiled wood.

Corian - Arctic white. Just had it put in and it looks lovely. Would get cheap kitchen next time and this sort of worktop - I'm noticing the worktop much more than solid wood cupboards!
