I don't think we've had one of these for a while. The people who own this house clearly like colour, nik naks and patterns. Have to give them credit for having the courage of their convictions and going for it with the decor

I clicked on the link expecting not to like it but I love it.
Maybe a few less decorative accessories would be ideal for me, but as someone else said, the only thing I didn't like was the pink kitchen ceiling. The house is fabulous! And I love their furniture too.

echt · 20/03/2014 06:37

Far better than the bland shite that infests so many properties.

The covered patio bit is gorgeous, though the gravel garden is a bit much. Or do I mean not enough?

Germgirl · 20/03/2014 06:40

I clicked expecting to hate it too. But I love it even though it's completely different to my usual taste. And I love the pink ceiling Smile

Late · 20/03/2014 06:59

Love the colour ceilings. Agent should buy it they couldn't stop photographing everything! Only lived there 10 years! Imagine they need a new venture as obviously love filling spaces. Makes me think they must live a boring or wild exciting life such extremes and fill every moment so either spent on house alone or extends into daily life!

Tanacot · 20/03/2014 07:09

It's fabulous. It's simply fabulous!

It's not my style but it has bags of style. I love it!

Kirk1 · 20/03/2014 07:43

I like both, the first was sold to me by the three little words "Walk in larder". I've always wanted one of those. And i think the garden is lovely. Don't like the pink ceiling though, or the tiled work surface. The second has enough bedrooms to give us a spare, and is a lovely interesting shape. Shame I can't afford to live there and still come back to the north midlands for my work, friends kids school...

Blu · 20/03/2014 08:32

Yes, but the second one is a very ugly fake-old new build.

Once de-chintzed the first is far more elegant and graceful, and authentic.

GrendelsMum · 20/03/2014 08:40

The garden is adorable - although I do wonder if they use it as a shop for garden ornaments? They just seem to have an awful lot, and I can see it being a very good way to sell them.

puppadompreach · 20/03/2014 08:43

I like the first one and wish i had that kind of imagination when it comes to home decor!

fishybits · 20/03/2014 08:50

I think it's stunning. Lovely to see colours other than beige and furniture from somewhere other than Ikea and Oak Furniture Land.

Shosha1 · 20/03/2014 08:54

OMG, first one would be my dream house :)

LaurieFairyCake · 20/03/2014 08:55

That's my perfect house - it's been Annie Sloaned and shabby chic-ed all the way.

The gardens are just beautiful.

GemmaTeller · 20/03/2014 09:37

Has that first house been on that Phil Spencer show? or am I watching too much tv?

Definately reminds me of one thats been on there.

I'll take the second house, looks big and spacious

LondonNinja · 20/03/2014 09:44

Beautifully done. So much nicer than bland.

I don't normally like fussy decor but this works.

HaveToWearHeels · 20/03/2014 09:54

Beautiful house, but I fear my husband would hyperventilate if I took him to view it. Imagine the packing when they move !

INeedSomeHelp · 20/03/2014 10:00

I love the first house. Would never dare to paint a ceiling bright pink but I think it looks great.
I don't like the second one at all. It seems very bland and quite characterless.

Belindabelle · 20/03/2014 11:05

I love it too. Mind you I live in a similar property on a smaller scale.

LondonGirl83 · 20/03/2014 11:29

It's great even though it's not my style. It's always great to see someone express themselves

OwlCapone · 20/03/2014 11:37

the first one would be just a lick of paint and your own furniture

For me, it would require significantly more than that! A new kitchen for starters. It is too fussy for my taste but the house is gorgeous. If there are cats about, the garden is one big litter tray though.

OwlCapone · 20/03/2014 11:37

I'm sure my house would come in for criticism if it was on right move. I don't care much as it is my home and my taste.
