You ladies are so good at finding stuff. My stairs were carpeted when we moved in then we had our hall tiled. Tiler was very good and in trying not to get adhesive on the carpet has left a small gap between the tile and the carpet on the bottom step. It doesn't really bother me but thought it would look nice if I could glue some sort of moulding on the edge of the tiles, however the bottom step is rounded so the moulding would been to be flexible. Any ideas ?

Thanks that's the sort of thing but I won't be able to but it under the tiles iyswim, it would need to be stuck on the top of the tiles.

You can buy some tile sealant from B&Q or any other diy place that matches as close as possible and squeeze that in - I got wooden floor sealant for where my previous owners had left a few gaps between wooden floor and carpet and the walls. Can never tell there were any gaps.

moulding will look silly.

You could use decorator's caulk, acrylic filler, or silicon sealant (which I find much more awkward). Get a metal gun, not a plastic one. Somewhat like a cake-icing nozzle. White is popular but will show the dirt. Try to find one of similar colour you your grout (which I hope is not white)

If in a DIY merchant, ask for the little triangular plastic tool for squishing it smoothly into the gap.

I have all that kit PigletJohn (my grout is cream btw) But as I will be filling a gap between tiles and carpet it could look really messy ?

oh, carpet on bottom step, sorry.

not sure what would suit then. Is the cut edge of the carpet at all ragged? Is it the wood at the riser that shows?
