Nibe electric heating - always high bills?

My offer on a modern 2 bed house has just been accepted and I decided to research the heating system at the property. Now I am really worried as it is a Nibe exhaust air heat pump system which is supposed to be eco-friendly but has featured on various tv shows, with many people complaining about the sky high bills. Has any one had one of these systems? Are the always very expensive, ie. £10 per day to run in winter? If this is the case I will walk away from the property.

Know some people with a Nibe fighter, and while less economical than expected, it's nowhere near that cost. I think region of 20 kwh/day for 4 bed house, so 3 pound or so. That's including hot water. I understand the settings can be very fiddly though. Can you ask to see some recent bills?

NIBE exhaust air heat pumps have been found to increase heating costs by 2-3 times more than conventional heating i.e. gas. Hundreds and hundreds have been pulled all over the UK and popular replacements have been gas, or a ground source heat pump for those electric-only homes. EVERY home has seen huge savings since the replacement, and are warmer and quieter.
I've grouped together 3 estates in Grimsby, with a total of 240+ NIBE boilers. We're not wasting time complaining to housing associations and developers, we're taking legal action instead.
I'm afraid this is the type of mess you'll get in to if you want to do anything about your NIBE. There's no way of running the boiler efficiently.
