What do you think of these tiles? (please)

They're for our dining kitchen and the hallway. I liked them in the shop but looking at them in the picture it seems to suggest they are for restaurants/bars

I like them,think they would look fine.

they look great in a big space - if you hall and kitchen are large ... might not look so fab in a smaller space though ?!?!

They're porcelain but look like wood? Not keen.

I think they look very smart, although I haven't seen any wood-effect porcelain in real life. But if you liked them in the shop that is more important than what the online picture looks like. Are you having underfloor heating? Otherwise won't they be a bit cold?

Oneplan - the area is about 35 metres sq. I didn't think I'd like wood effect porcelain tiles either ( I don't like tiles ) but they look very good and are so practical. We couldn't have wood or engineered wood in the kitchen; it just wouldn't work with our lifestyles.

I live in Long Island and was looking at floor tiles the other day. Apparently here wood-effect porcelain tiles have become extremely popular mainly due to the amount of properties affected by flooding after the last hurricanes. I was really impressed with the look of them. After seeing the amount of flooding in the UK at the minute, maybe they will become more popular in the UK.

Look at the narrowest part of you area ( guessing the hallway ) and see how the pattern would work - even if you put a simple grid of the largest square ( ie the pattern repeat ) onto a floor plan to see how it works - as sometimes to look 'right ' in one place it will look 'wrong ' in another ! Check you could live with all outcomes before you order !
