Best way to present a tiny awkward shaped bedroom

We are about to put a one bedroom flat on the market and are going to put some furniture in to try to present it at its best. I think its so small that it actually looks even smaller when empty if that makes sense! It's hard to describe but due to it's size and two awkwardly positioned structural piers there needs to be a compromise in the layout. We have a double bed and a tiny double wardrobe, two bedside tables and a chest of drawers. Would it be be best to..

a) have the double bed against the wall so it can only be accessed one side but plenty of room to access the wardrobe.
b) have the bed centrally positioned with bedside tables either side and put the wardrobe in front of one of the two windows (halving the light but the light would be 'adequate')
C) put the wardrobe in the comparatively large lounge as if it's a cupboard leaving the bedroom as light and spacious as possible.

In other words what would you hate more, climbing over your partner to get into bed, having a window hidden by a wardrobe or having to go into your lounge to choose an outfit every morning?

Please help!

Mines It's odd but most people can't quite process that thought. They just think "what a lovely room". In general in a show home, they don't think "now where would I put the ironing board, and my sports kit or the rubbish bin". If you don't have those items out on display, they just flee the buyers' minds (as will their clothes).

The room is so narrow that there is only space for bedside tables either side of the bed (there's about 40cm clearance each side). The drawers are in one of the 'alcoves' under the window so wouldn't free up space for a wardrobe.

Finest dresses? Confused that is a greater challenge than my room layout!! Smile But I like the shelf/peg idea as additional hanging space.

Got to go out now but going to try to work out how to post a picture later. It's such a weird room with awkward sticking out bits it's hard to describe.

A photo or room plan would be helpful.
I don't think hanging space on show is tacky at all, not if dressed properly.
By the way, totally didn't mean a portable hanging rail.

Look on Pinterest, there are some great ideas on there e.g. for a start

Scroll down to the cat jumping off the bed and below that, you see the white shelving and basket arrangement. I was thinking of something like that. Depends if you want traditional or modern, but the principle's the same. Obviously make it taller to suit, with shelving and wicker or wire baskets above and below.

You could lose all day looking at boards on there though, so be careful before you venture in Grin

Is there room at all to stand a blanket box at the end of the bed? or, put a shelf across the head end of the bed, perhaps with a big piece of mirror above. If you can put a mirror opposite the window, that's a great trick.

Light reflecting paint is a brilliant idea as well, the paint finish can make a huge difference. I totally agree you want people to look at the room and think how lovely, how ingenious.
Like I say, the trick is not to try and deceive, but to offer up solutions.
Shame there isn't room for a hall cupboard, that would be a good wardrobe alternative, whereas, to my mind, keeping your clothes in the living room just underlines how small the bedroom is.
I'm sure there are some sensible answers for you

Our DDs bedrooms are too small for wardrobes and we have these IKEA hanging rails

Nope sorry technology is against me I can't post a picture or floor plan but thanks for all your advice and links. There's been some great ideas I hadn't even thought of and as you were all unanimous I shouldn't block the window I won't!
