can you image waking up here with a hangover

My eyes.

It's too much without a hangover.

Raleighton · 26/01/2014 08:50

Ha ha - wow!

hootloop · 26/01/2014 08:52

I actually like all the colours, the the exposed beams on the other hand.

AnitaManeater · 26/01/2014 08:53

Wow... It's like a walk in migraine! I assumed it was mock Tudor with all those beams and the block paving. Suprised to see it's not!

GlitzAndGiggles · 26/01/2014 08:53

I actually love the pink bedroom!

escape · 26/01/2014 08:53

Lol.
Actually, all it really needs is the walls painting and removal of tat ( and pears soap ads )

MummaMouse · 26/01/2014 08:56

I really like it.

Bunbaker · 26/01/2014 08:57

Too pink and too many beams. I also thought all the beams were a bit contrived and false.

LadyGardenersQuestionTime · 26/01/2014 08:59

Gah! Formerly a coach house, not formally!

Nothing a pair of dark glasses and a bucket of white paint can't fix.

SecretWitch · 26/01/2014 08:59

I love it, except for the bordello pink room.

NearTheWindmill · 26/01/2014 09:05

Just needs a coat of paint. I love it.

TSSDNCOP · 26/01/2014 09:07

I like the oh so proudly displayed colander on the stove top.

Otherwise pepto bismol walls plus beams and stoop ceilings, forget it.

NearTheWindmill · 26/01/2014 09:08

I know the area and it's lovely very near the station and my best friend. The only problem is that it's on a main road.

Lj8893 · 26/01/2014 09:09

I quite like it actually!!

horsetowater · 26/01/2014 09:09

Hate the blackbeams, I hope they used proper breathable conservation paint or they will be in big trouble.

ExcuseTypos · 26/01/2014 09:26

Our house has lots of beams and wonky walls.

That's where the similarity ends- thank goodness. Id feel sea sick in that houseGrin

Hassled · 26/01/2014 09:31

It's a lovely house - get rid of the chintz and iffy decorative style and there's a whole heap of potential there.

DameDeepRedBetty · 26/01/2014 09:31

I quite like painting beams and panels different colours and have done so in some of the rooms. But not Shocking Pink! And the sheer quantity of flouncy curtain bits is vomitty too.

MairzyDoats · 26/01/2014 09:35

It would be like living inside a box of liquorice allsorts.

Pagwatch · 26/01/2014 12:18
Grin It is a lovely house. I just looked at it at about 7.30 this morning with a mild hangover. Scared the bejesus out of me. I thought it was me.

Loving the liquorice allsorts analogy. Perhaps it could be renamed "Basset's Corner" Grin

pinkdelight · 26/01/2014 14:22

Picture 9 (and some of the others) is like The Cabinet of Dr Caligari - something out of a nightmare!

edamsavestheday · 26/01/2014 14:25

Wow, they are very, um brave with their choices... I'd have to not only paint the walls but get all that black off the beams (if they are indeed real beams, if not I'd remove them). Poultices and whatever, to return them to the natural oak.

BronzeHorseman · 26/01/2014 14:25

Is it a former pub?

frostyfingers · 26/01/2014 16:54

It's the combination of black painted beams and those colours that does me. We had a house with black beams - had them sandblasted (not a job for the fainthearted) with a fantastic result - beautiful light oak which looked gorgeous.
