What colour paint to paint entire house

Hi

We are first time buyers and, all being well, should be completing and picking up the keys to our first house on Friday! The house is a bit dated but fairly neutrally decorated so we just want to freshen everything up with a lick of paint then live in it for a bit. We want to take our time to decorate it to our tastes but want it to feel fresh, clean and modern in the meantime so just want something nice and easy to live with for now!

Can anyone recommend nice white paints for ceilings, woodwork, etc and something neutral for the walls? I'd rather creamy rather than grey neutrals but nothing too yellow. We are aiming for a warm, light and airy feel.

Crown ivory cream for walls, Matt finish. Any eggshell/satin finish white for woodwork.

Will look lovely. Not too yellow, but neutral enough to live with. Is gorgeous.

If the ceiling is already white, if they still do it get that white paint that starts off pink so you don't miss spots.

Ivory cream and antique cream are lolvey, by crown.

Homebase Own brand "Cookie Dough" is what we went for everywhere when we first moved in.

Plain white satin for woodwork.

Plain white emulsion for ceilings.

We just bought Homebase own brand (on 3 for 2 at the time)

I'd just go brilliant white all through to start with until you decide what you want as otherwise it can get expensive if you don't like it. I recommend jonmat by Johnstones. Buy in bulk for cheaps.

Another lovely neutral is egyptian cotton by dulux but if you did this all the way through it would cost more.

If you do like the slight yellow tint there is also jasmine white (dulux) that looks yellowy in the pot but dries creamy. Really nice.

Dulux Timeless - almost white but with a cream tint. Very sunny and fresh.

PBW ceilings
then go see what is reduced .....
I got the hall and dining room paint half price ....
its nice to have slight differences between rooms for when the sun shines through

Jasmine white would be nice in living areas I think. With white eggshell on the woodwork, and any white emulsion on the ceilings. Any plain bright white in the kitchen/bathroom.

Crown Soft Linen, it's a lovely warm white, not beigey or pinkey. Quite similar to Jasmine White (which is also nice) but a little warmer and not so yellowy I think.

Trade White (not pure brilliant white) on ceilings and woodwork.

My new fave is Dulux Dusted Moss 3 a very subtle light grey/murky white. Goes with all sorts of accent colours.
