Odd shaped garden, what is your opinion

I do not have the original pictures, so here is the link of an extremely similar one in terms of the shape: odd shaped garden

I cannot decide whether it is a good thing (seeing how it could be landscaped, or having the space to extend the house on the side), or a bad (lots of fencing!).

I am likely to go with the house purchase anyway, but interested if it would be a deal breaker to sell in the future.
For comparison, other houses in the same area are mostly terraced and have square postage stamp size gardens.

I cannot decided if I will be lucky to be in the end of terrace on the corner plot, or disadvantaged because of the odd shape.

What dear MN think? Thanks!

For those who perhaps cannot view the link, it is triangular extending from the back to the side of the house (narrow point at the corner of the house).

I can't really see the shape of the garden from the photos but I would say it wouldn't matter to me if the size of the garden was in proportion to the house (and/or other typical gardens in the area) and it would be more important that it gave me usable space ie - it wasn't steeply sloping, incredibly overlooked etc. If it still gives you lots of options to extend and use, I wouldn't worry about the fencing costs.

If it's like the link I think you will be very lucky, when you have the time and money to make it beautiful. The idea of using the pointed bit for the shed to flatten the shape is a good idea, as is all the fencing in a light colour. Enjoy it.

I think it will be a bonus as you will have lots more space and can use it for storage/shed etc, but prob worth factoring in money to have it landscaped as this will make a huge difference to how it looks and feels.
I like the landscapers you linked to, are they local to you?

Deffo not a deal breaker IMO.

If your future garden looks like the link, then anyone would buy the house!! The shape is interesting and better than regular postage stamp. I think you could reduce costs, eg less decking, but basically a garden like this would be the envy of the street.

Excellent, thank you. Mine will be a little smaller but I don't mine. I am now warming up to the idea. Fingers crossed everything turns out well.

Sounds exactly like mine...large corner plot thats triangular. We plan to extend to the side, drive and turf to front and zone the back garden - furthest away (peak of the triangle) is having decking and a fan shaped pergola, middle will be DS zone which will then lead up steps to a patio/decked area...
