Splasback stress - alternatives needed asap

Ordered dreamy splashback on impulse at a design show at Earls Court in October for new house (even before work on kitchen extension had started). Bought and paid for exhibition model at a discounted rate. New kitchen finally sorted so have splash delivered but it is just too teeny tiny for the space. I had sockets relocated to accommodate as well. This is a major stress as splash is custom made (read: very expensive) and my budget is dead. I am getting correct area size measurement and will phone the company to see how shocking the price will be should I have them make up the correct size. I have a feeling I am stuck with the one I have (have yet to fit it) so no returning to get money off new order. However I do have an idea as to how it could be used in the kitchen in addition to the correct sized splashback.

I am posting because I NEED YOUR CREATIVE & RESOURCEFUL IDEAS as to alternatives for the splash area as it is highly likely that I cannot bring myself to sell my body to afford the custom designed splashback. Worktop is pure white quartz, cabinets are Howden Burford in gloss white and floor is orange stardust Amtico.

I am thinking glass in a block colour but my brain is battered from making all these decisions over the past 3 months and I am scared of making wrong decision. Work finishes week after next on the house and I don't want to be left without a fully functional (nightmare visions of my beautifully plastered white mist coated walls coated in stains and red angry bolognese stains) kitchen because of my stupidity Sad

Does anyone want to give me a tutorial on making my own abstract painted glass splashback?!?!
Please don't ruminate over my impulsiveness as I already know the error of my ways!

Hopefully you can click through to see the kitchen

(last pic is with the underfloor heating mat not the amtico!)

And here is the image that has inspired the idea of how to use the splash somewhere else (on the island) if need be

Just seen this over at Glartique and really like the retro vibe and because my house colours are white, grey and orange but looks expensive once again...

If I am being honest the thought of having a mono coloured glass splash does not excite me and to my mind will look naff uninspired

Stainless will not make sense being introduced at this late stage and definitely against tiling in any way shape or form.

Anyone??

Bump*

Found this website last night which could possibly be the magic solution www.pimpyourkitchen.co.uk/page/71/own-image-quote.html. Anyone used it before?
