So if you've had an offer accepted, does that make it Under Offer or Sold STC?

I'm confused...we have offered, they have accepted yet on the website it is still showing as a 'premium listing'.

It doesn't say Under Offer or Sold STC. I've been told they mean the same thing anyway.

How can we be sure what's going on? I'm worried that they might still be accepting viewings.

Is Yourmove not a normal EA then?

I thought they were just normal.

Our estate agent was still advertising ours as for sale 18months after we completed. They always keep a few on, when there isn't much around to show "a typical house we would sell". It's really common round here, with stupidly fast moving sales, meaning that at a given time most agents don't actually have much active.

IHeard We use HouseSimple - but they put you on YourMove, RightMove, Prime Location etc just like the normal ones. And you don't have to deal with EAs which makes the whole thing so much nicer!

I don't put anything as sold or under offer until I have an offer in writing, formally from a Solicitor. Even then, I update my website and it takes overnight for the feed to reach Right Move.

My friend sold and moved from her house months ago and it's still showing as SSTC on rightmove. Confused

I didn't know that a formal offer had to be in writing. Oh dear. Is that something we should have done by now?

I don't know - I am in Scotland so England may be different but we start with a verbal offer and once the verbal has been agreed the buyer's Solicitor needs to put the offer in formal terms (legal) before the missives (contract) can proceed.

Oh I see. Well that sounds like it could be the same here, but first we do the survey - well we are doing, anyway - and then if that's all good, then I think we get our solicitor to take over proceedings as it were.

Hopefully this still means that it's off the market to all intents and purposes in the interim.
