Calling ikea experts - how can I fit out an empty built in wardrobe for baby?

Trying to sort my baby's room in mat leave. The room we've picked has a built in wardrobe, 2 m 36 wide, and 1 m 66 up to the clothes hangar pole. Its got two sliding doors, maximum opening space will be 63cm.

I'd like some sort of built in storage for all the baby gros, muslins, wipey things etc etc. I've looked at the ikea algot system but I'm a bit baffled - presumably I need to buy all shelves and brackets separately? I'd also like some sort of drawers - even plastic rather than mesh as I think one well aimed baby sick could coat the entire set of baby clothes.

Maybe I should look somewhere else. Kitchen stuff? Do Ikea do sturdy plastic drawers instead of non-sick resistant mesh ones? Can't imagine hanging everything up but find the fabric hanging shelves tend to swing about a bit when you're chucking stuff in/pulling it out

my babies have never been sick into their wardrobes, chest of drawers or any other place I put laundry. their beds, car seat and the sofa are all fair game.

we have mesh baskets in their pax wardrobe - I think it is just the thing and prefer it to the plastic.

thats all the help I can offer but I hope it is something!

Don't think they'd be sick into the wardrobe unless you were extremely unlucky. When I've had built in wardrobes in the dc rooms I put an ikea chest if drawers in (they do so many sizes one would fit?) the bottom for babygros, vests, blankets, socks etc. then baskets or boxes on top ( the Ikea white drawer boxes were handy) for nappies, Muslims, wipes etc. then depending on the height of the wardrobe, I'd put another rail in as baby clothes aren't very long. I always hung up all clothes on two railing as I liked looking at them and picking out cute outfits (I also, bizarrely, used to iron them back when I had the time for such frivolties)

MUSLINS!! Didn't store people in there too!

They are not a baby for long, think where can they store toys when planning.

Your baby is never going to vomit in their wardrobe if you a) keep the doors shut or b) don't point them in there and jiggle them after a feed :)

Algot wise you would need to buy the frame and then the baskets to go inside the frames. Or you buy the wall bracket things and attach those to the back wall of the wardrobe and again buy the baskets.

I have lots of Ikea stuff, so you could look at Trofast system, which allows you to buy 3 different tub sizes ie one of the frames has 3 slots so you can have one 3 slot tub (biggest one they do) 1 slot tub and a 2 slot tub or 3 x 1 slot tubs. Have a look and you will see what I mean. Depending what you are putting in the single might be a bit small and the 2 slot might be quite big. this shows you 1, 2 and a 3

You can hang those fabric things off your hanging rail like this or if you have shelves you could try these
small set of fabric boxes

I have PAX wardrobes from Ikea all over the house because the internal fittings are so cheap and very easy to change so we have the plastic drawers with the fabric boxes inside. When the children were babies I had nappies etc in the fabric boxes. I love Ikea.

Thanks all - maybe I'm over thinking the vomity baby!
Special thanks to Becool as I think that might be what I'm looking for....

Don't worry, your baby isn't going to vomit into the wardrobes. I had a vomit comet of a baby, bless her, she managed to puke on herself, the carpet, on my shoulder and once memorably in my mouth, never in a wardrobe!

My two have something like BeCool's middle link, except from Dunelm mill. They have backs on, which have been most useful when I just stuff items in!
Still in use with 4 yr old DS1 (tho the school shirts merit a hanger now)
