My mum has just swapped her storage heaters in 3 bed victorian brick semi for gas central heating - new Veissman boiler, LPG tank, about 6 new rads (there were already a few linked to the old wood burning stove which had a back boiler but is not going to be used for that now. Cost her £6.5k, less than she had imagined. She also has loads of insulation.I think knocking down wall is quite straight forward if not load bearing, but will need an RSG if it is.

just had it put in a 2 bed victorian terrace in Hants, it replaced economy 7 heaters - valiant boiler, 8 rads cost £3k. Didnt make a mess or need extra decorating or filling etc. Biggest pain was waiting for the gas supply to be fitted, took about 3 months and they didnt turn up when they said.

We've been quoted for the same make of boiler as above, hot water cylinder, 12 radiators and all piping for 8k. There's only a boiler for hot water at the moment and it includes removing this and some other pipe work. We also got another quote for 7.5k.

Are you on mains gas?

Assuming you are, it will be about £3k, and could be more if there's tricky pipework or lots of rooms and radiators.
