Shower head on Slope end of Bathtub?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help,

I have recently bought a new house that needed tons of work done and its really important for me to have bathtubs but the only place I can comfortable fit a bathtub is in the loft space and about 30cm of the bath will be inside the roof void which I am worried would obstruct headroom when sitting in it at that side. This is why Im trying to keep the slope end and shower end in the same place and to have the drain and bath filler in the middle along the long wall.

I just wanted to know if anyone has ever had their shower head on the slope end? And how it worked out?

I was considering putting the shower head in the middle of the long wall part of the bathtub, but its not really possible as the only flat part of the ceiling is the end I hoped to put the shower head.

If anyone could tell me how I can upload pictures onto post I can show what I mean.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks xxx

Depends if the shower drips. Nobody wants drips of cold water on their head while enjoying a nice relaxing bath. But if not, no issue, I think. (My mum has her bath this way round).

Hey thanks for your response. I guess as long as its a goos shower head it should be ok, has your mum ever complained of slipping? thanks xx

Ahh thats fantastic ! big relief! keep getting told its a tripping hazard but i knew nobody stands right up against the end of the tub anyway.

Thanks so much for all your responses! its been so helpful !

I had this in my bathroom when I moved in, as the 'tap' end was under the window. It was awful, the shower dripped cold water on me when in the bath, the sloped end is more slippery and therefore dangerous -I'd really think hard before doing it OP.

You can get small tubs these days, or the japanese type which are really like a barrel!

Or do without the shower at all - use a tap with a shower converter and use that for washing hair etc.

um, if it drips surely you just take it off the hook?

it was dripping from the valve - right above my head. It needed to go, sooner rather than later, and I moved the bath/basin/loo. I removed the hotwater tank, so that made loads of space, and i fitted in a little en-suite for my room too - all from 1 bathroom.

My mum never has a shower! Only baths. I have showers there tho; have never slipped but now I come to think of it, I think the bath has a slightly grippy inner surface - maybe that is why.

Re: drips; yeah you could take it off (unless have a valve thing) but I would always forget and who wants to have to stand up and deal with drippy cold shower head when you've just relaxed back in a nice hot bath?
