We've exchanged contracts on our first house and will move in over the next month - of course everything is switched off at the moment and the heating system has been drained.
The survey said there was a bit of corrosion around the stopcock valve of the oil tank, which needs repairing. We want to get the boiler serviced, as well (a 5 year old Worcester Bosch), and I was thinking of having a plumber there to turn everything back on just in case there are nasty surprises with the pipes.
My problem is, I am not sure in which order these things need to be done - who do I call first? Does anyone know? Who do I even call about the corrosion to the stop cock, I'm not sure who would deal with that?
I'd welcome any advice! I am sitting shivering in our 100 year old rented house, which must have an energy rating of about -20, our new house is rated 73 and I can't wait to move in!
