Bluesuntree Eames-style chairs - what colours??

I'm about to buy the Eames-style DSW and DAW chairs from bluesuntree for our kitchen, along with the matching round white-topped dining table. DH wanted the armchair style (DAW) so we're getting two of each (compromise rocks, eh). Can't decide what colours to get though... help!

Our kitchen has a dark grey floor and black worktop, so even with the light wood cabinets, it can look a little dark, plus it's not on the sunny side of the house. I would quite like to get the chairs in a mix of colours to brighten it up a bit but DH doesn't want it to look too much like a student house! Fair point... so I'm trying to come up with a 'classy' colour combo... Currently liking white, chartreuse, green, yellow, and maybe the mid-grey. Any suggestions on what combo to go for??

Do you know what the quality is like? It looks a great website and I love lots of these designers/architects.

Classic white is the better investment as is timeless ! Will look lovely !!

I think your combo sounds fab.

Although I've painted my kitchen chairs red, pink, yellow and turquoise and covered the seats in retro green flowery fabric. Your DH would hate it Wink

I've not actually seen any of the products in the flesh, as it were, only heard/read reviews which suggest they might be a bit flimsier than the real Eames ones, but then I don't really want to spend upwards of £200 per chair when it's only a kitchen chair which is going to get kicked around and spilled on... I wasn't planning to use them for anything which would need super-strength so 'a bit flimsy' doesn't bother me too much.

I had thought about getting all white, but seems a waste of the opportunity to get some colour in my kitchen without painting it. I was wondering about getting two in white and two in the green or the yellow, but I can't actually choose between the green, yellow and chartreuse! Hard to tell what the true colour will be like - don't want to order a nice sunny yellow and find it's more like neon...

IHeartKingThistle, you are right! It sounds lovely to me but I've tried to get DH interested (or even non-commital) about patterns before, and the best reaction so far has been a screwed up face... the worst was him actually running away from a brightly patterned cushion I wanted to buy in the actual shop.

I bought the cushion Wink

I love this company. We have the chairs in white! Really quite impressed with these replicas so def recommend them. Ours go around a wooden table so white was the best option for us but I'd be very tempted by a mix of colours if I were you. They aren't massively flimsy - I've trusted them to stand on and change light bulbs!
