In search of massive curtains for bi fold doors

Trying to find some curtains to fit our bi fold doors.

Approx 5meters wide x 210cm drop. They don't need to be lined, but looking for either plain or not too chintzy.

Any tips on where to look? Next, M&S etc either too chintzy, or don't do the right size.

For that width in my last house I bought 3 pairs (you could do 2).

Dunelm Mill? Might be some off the 'rack' but they do made to measure too.

For our large window in the old place, we brought 2 pairs of long drop curtains and pinned together (there was intention to sew them but never got around to it!)

Did you fit them onto tracks or poles? Seen some eyelet curtains in Next that look ok, but can't find a pole the right length...

John Lewis - wait until they have sale?

Ikea.

I ended up buying 3 pairs of curtains and sewing them together for exactly your kind of situation. They are cream, thermo-lined, go on a pole and were less than £100 all 3 of them from Dunhelm Mills.
Job done!

And whenever our kids hands are less greasy/sticky at all times I will get some gorgeous expensive ones made Grin

www.naturalcurtaincompany.co.uk/ep/ready-made-curtains/ready-made-curtains/ I am after wide/long curtains too. Found a couple of pairs on Paul Simon website. And then some here - though mostly out of stock in the bigger sizes - BUT the reason I know this is I phoned them up about samples today and the lovely lady said they are just bringing out about 23 new styles of extra long/wide curtains - brochure/range due in the next week or two. If you call them they will contact you as soon as out

I do not work for them promise- and no idea of quality etc - but I am going to wait to see new range before I place my alternative option (made to measure/bespoke one which are £££s)

i was wondering about curtains for the bifold doors we're going to have put in, but my husband convinced me that would be weird, but I'm not keen on having a cold glass area exposed at night. Blinds look interesting.

Not for bi-fold doors but we have a very large bay window, almost 4 metres wide, drop is 2.20m. As others have said, I have bought 2 pairs if extra wide curtains from John Lewis (120'' × 90'') and I'm going to stitch them together. Bought in the sales - even if your local store only has one pair, they will track down a matchingpair for you.

Thanks all. I'll ring the Natural Curtain Company tomorrow. Tried a few websites for finding an extra long pole, no luck so far.

redundant we weren't going to bother, but have changed our minds for privacy reasons, also to soften the acoustics of the room in general.

In our last house we had a massive window and I sewed 2 different pairs of curtains together - the outside ones were dark brown velvety stuff and the inside ones were cream cotton. Looked fab. And because there was more fabric there than the width we needed IYSWIM it meant we could vary the look by pulling one pair over more than the other (does that make sense?) So mostly cream in summer and mostly brown in winter.

I made curtains for my patio doors but they have less fullness than normal, just under 2x width, so they fold back reasonably narrow.

We have roller blinds. Great as hidden during the day but make the room feel cosy at night.
