Used to use twin tub, 1989 got Hotpoint washer dryer, bearings went 7 years, got Hoover and gave it away at 9.5 years, working but inlet valve would stick, Jan 2005 got Beko WMA1715, just scrapping it, had problem opening door, had to lift it when closing for switch to make contact, had main PCB and door switch changed under warranty never cured it, had to remove top and reseat cables once and a few thumps near programmer to keep it working, got too much as I am old man alone and ill so going to get a Beko WM74165 from Currys I think £169. The door and front panel felt more solid and than other models, and I can only use upto 54cm deep, hope I am lucky, buying with Nationwide credit card to get extra year free warranty.

My beko has started leaking and shorted the electricity in my flat after only 5 years, I think they are pretty basic and poor quality. I noticed the casing is rusty and the liner has obviously been soaked for some time!!
Decided to get a hotpoint, definitely worth spending that extra £50 for a trusted brand.

I wouldn't recommend Indesit, the bearings on mine went within a couple of years. It was a Which best buy too. I can't comment on the others as I've always had Bosch since.

Our Beko replaced a Samsung that lasted barely five years. We had it another five and sold it only because the new build house we moved to had one in the utility room. The Beko tumble dryer lives in the garage and we have an extra freezer in the garage that’s Beko. Oh and a cordless vacuum cleaner.

I used to think Indesit appliances were really low quality, but there's one in our rental and it's actually been pretty reliable.
