Pembury oak Magnet kitchen

We are looking for a new kitchen and I like the look of Magnets Pembury Oak one. The thing that's bothering me is some of the reviews Magnet get!! Not so much on here but in general. I know if people have a bad experience they tend to shout about it where not much gets said if things go well.We want a kitchen to last, the one we have now is 15 years old and other than the worktops it fine. Has anyone had any recent dealings with them and what about the fitters? Thanks :-)

Speak to your local kitchen specialist. You will almost certainly get better service and product, better advice and very likely better design. And all for a better or similar money.

I did try that first. Maybe I was just unlucky but the man who came from a local kitchen and bedroom company was quite a pain in the backside. He phoned me after a week and said he'd done the plan so I called in to the shop only to be told they weren't ready because I hadn't made an appointment. I finally saw them a few days later but this chap was quite rude saying he expected my other half to be there as well and unless I paid for them I couldn't have the plans to take home. Not that I asked as TBH they really hadn't been worth the wait.

Is your current kitchen fine in terms of layout? Why not just get new doors & worktop fitted if the carcasses are okay.

I would recommend that you ask friends and neighbours for recommendations. Its the best way to find trusted tradesmen.

Your kitchen is a large investment so it is worthwhile getting a proper design done and if you like it, paying for it. A good designer will ask probing questions and work with you to get the best for your budget. As a kitchen company, we charge for our design service as well - a typical design takes about 2 days to do. I doubt if designers at a shed spend much more than 2-3 hours doing a design.

If you want to PM me your location, perhaps I can recommend someone.

The kitchen layout is fine Pinkje but the problem is we had an aga fitted so need the double oven taking out and need new units to replace that plus a new fully intergrated dishwasher as the one we have the controls are on the front if that makes sense. It seems to be though that corner units have change size since the last kitchen was done so I was told things had to move, like the dishwasher. I might see if I can keep the corner units as they are but with new doors who ever ends up doing the kitchen.
kmdesign thank you, we are in the Huddersfield area. I do understand that there are designs and designs. The units in our kitchen are in a U shape and can't be any other way as it has a large window,an outside door, a door to the utility,an aga ( not moving that ) and a breakfast area that goes off diagonally with doors patio doors and two more internal doors. if you have any recommendations that would be great.

Apart from living in Australia, where Magnet is not, I wouldn't deal with Magnet after their poisonous labour disputes. Utter twats.

I realise this does not answer your problem. Just saying
