Can I dismantle this bed?

I have a pine bed with big head and foot boards what I need to dismantle today. There are gaps for an Allen key, and I have an Allen key, but I'm not sure what I'm trying to achieve, nothing unscrews, it just eventually tightens the other way.

Would anyone be prepared to look at the pic on my profile and tell me if they've used a fixture like this before? There's a little arrow printed on each one, is that significant?

Otherwise it's a saw Shock

I assume the arrow is pointing the direction to turn and tighten the bed up. Are you turning the Allen key in the opposite direction? Providing you have the correct size Allen key these type of beds come apart pretty quickly.

Hello! The arrow doesnt't indicate a direction, it points to the edge of the disc. I'm glad no one thinks it's a 'tighten only' system!

There's nothing outside at that level, but you're right that there's a bolt running behind the plate that I'm trying to free, I can see that now.

Much encouraged I now have the bed in its side and a better shot of the arrow. I'm trying lining it up with various things

I've done it! The arrow was a complete blind, I think, it seems as though it was just unscrew as far as it would go and then pull. As you originally suggested. Many thanks!
