Caesarstone work top disaster

I want to cry. Brand new caesarstone work tops in pure white are a joke..been in 36 hours and already stained with what seems to be water rings leaving grey smears...we left a wooden chopping board on the draining grooves and it has left a huge stain that we can't remove. What's the point of a work surface you can put anything on?! I wouldn't it recommend to anyone. So confused as I had read such great things. Just fuming. Anyone else have a problem?

Its not a stain if you can clean it off. Its says stain proof but you still have to clean it!

Cillit Bang bleach and hygiene is a recommended cleaner by Caesarstone

Crikey this is worrying me a bit. I've got a Silestone work surface coming on Monday. All paid for.

WHY are people resurrecting years' old threads?? Drives me mad.

What's the problem with coming back to a thread? Confused

I think resurrecting old threads is fine for specific topics like this, it's handy to have it all in one place rather than 10 threads with 2 or 3 replies each. Agree its annoying in aibu or relationships though when you find yourself commenting about a situation which actually occurred in 2007!

Personally I'm putting barkeeper's friend on my shopping list. Thanks to an old thread!

Thenightsky we've had light cream Silestone in for 4yrs now and despite spills of curry, blackcurrants, beetroot and other staining culprits we've not one mark and I wouldn't say I'm that fastidious a housekeeper.

Just reading this I feel sad, my Caesarstone has only been in six months and my experience exactly mirrors yours 8k later and very sad as I don’t love it snd find it so much work. I too have cloudy film on worktops and know it’s not worth contacting Caesarstone but do feel like contacting a lawyer as this is so unfair after paying thousands for a product that doesn’t live up to its name. No way I would recommend this product to anyone
