Considering moving to Beaconsfield or Iver. Which is better for secondary schools?

I have 3 kids between the ages of 3-10 years old...2 boys and a girl.
We are looking for a bigger house and considering moving to Buckinghamshire. I have tried to find out which is better for secondary schools....Beaconsfield or Iver? Also, are they nice areas to live (i.e. crime rate, neighbourhood, accessibility etc)??
Any suggestions or advice would be great!
Thanks in advance :)

PS we are currently living in Shepherds Bush.

They use the same secondary schools I believe. There's some lovely villages around beaconsfield, seer green, Jordan's and chalfonts nice. You get a bit more for your money with iver as it doesn't have the 'pretty village' like beaconsfield.

My friend lives in Iver... Every kid in Iver gets bussed out for half an hour to one of the bucks secondaries (it's an eleven plus area) . There was recently a free school secondary application for Iver (an Arts type school) but it got turned down, apparently they are re-applying so maybe it will be there in future? The village primary schools have a so-so Ofsted but the actual schools are worth a visit cos my friend's DC are very happy there. It's cheaper to buy than Beaconsfield by quite a way. The high street has lorries through it but a proper "village" set of shops. It's a nice place to be I think, but maybe a bit solitary for teenagers...

I grew up in bucks and used to get the train to beaconsfield from high Wycombe to see friends. I've never heard of Iver so guessing it is more remote? I love the feel of old beaconsfield and had lots of friends in and around seer green, Jordans, amersham, chesham good transport links and plenty to do so I would go for there!

ickle, it's next to West Drayton, and the other side is Pinewood Studios and some lovely parks. It's on the main line to Paddington (and will be on Crossrail in a few years I think).
