Toddler boy's bedroom

We're getting ds's bedroom decorated before we move in and I'm struggling with a colour scheme. It's a north facing room at the back of the house with two external walls - so I'm a bit concerned about it being cold and think blue wont work? I think it needs a warm colour.

It's also likely to be an office in the next two years when the next baby is old enough and will share with ds. So it can't be too childish. His curtains and bed covers are dark blue with diggers etc on them, and his furniture is white.

Any ideas?!

A warm ivory, with white woodwork, or a pale lemon shade.

Try Daffodil White in the Dulux shades of white, it is very warming to a north facing room without being actual yellow. It gives the impression of a warm light coming in at the window. Not too childish for an office either.

Thanks for your reply - we've tried a crown colour called sandcastle, which looks like a warm yellowy gold on the wall (tester) so we'll see. Finally convinced dh it would be fun to decorate it ourselves and did the prep and ceiling yesterday :)

I would go for warm yellow myself. And if strong yellows are too much, I'd lean biscuity rather than pale yellow... There's something about pale yellow I find rather austere. From my screen renderings, "sandcastle" looks really very nice, and should look smart with crisp, white woodwork. Let us know how you get on with your tester pot!
