What do I use to make my Victorian hall tiles shine

Just that really - they look pretty dull at the moment. Is there a product that will make them less matt looking and that will last for a very long time? When I mop them they look great whilst they're just wet and then return to their dull state when dry. Any recommendations? :)

Hearth tiles? God, so do mine... Why didn't I think about that! Doh!

Note to self - do not light a fire soon after applying.

Husband has only just realised that I have done the floor! He's been going across it on tip toe as he thought I had mopped!

It looks brilliant. I'm tempted to do mine now! I don't like the advice on the website to mop every day, however.

Mop every day! They're having a laugh Grin!

Pictures look great. Does the colour look more prominent now. Or did it just add a sheen.

They look great cuddly - you must be really pleased! How did the kitchen ones come up?

Hold fire! Don't rush out and buy just yet. I have noticed that there are some scratches on the coating! I'm just going to pop an email to the company to see what I did wrong as it's supposed to last years not days and we take our shoes off when we come in!

See response from the company!! Help!

^On inspection of the photos, the tiles appear to be fired glazed tiles, unfortunately glazed tiles are virtually impossible to seal as they are extremely non porous (it is like trying to paint glass), this is why it is scratching, you will find that you can scrap off the sealer very easily.

The only thing you can do is to remove the sealer, if you still want a finish to the tiles you would first need to acid etch them first so that the seal can penetrate and bond to the tile.^
