The best multi fuel stove - any recommendations?

We have a modern-ish house which isn't too 'boxy'. It has nice dado rails and cornicing. We are going for a scandanavian white look but with hint costal cottage/new england style.

Which multi fuel stoves would you recommend for both function and looks? I'm hoping for something traditional yet simple with clean lines. Any recommendations regarding good service from specific companies would also be most welcome.

Ha! I think you'll get a bunch of different recommendations, all probably brill. I vote westfire. But most of all, I recommend you have a look at www.stovesonline.co.uk/, who sell loads of makes of stove, and for really good prices. And they spent ages advising us on our system, even recommending cheaper places to get some of the bits. Amazing service. And no, I have nothing to do with them!

Well I think charnwood are great, they're british made, look good and very highly rated.

Clearview are the other market leader but the look of them is more country cottage.

We have a Charnwood c5 multifuel, love it, looks good, does the job - made in isle of wight - whats not to love?

MrsSheepiness · 13/09/2013 23:51

Clearview, just brilliant!

georgedawes · 14/09/2013 12:15

Clearview are excellent, but the OP was wanting something modern looking and they're definitely not, more a country cottage look.

MrsSheepiness · 15/09/2013 19:45

Apologies but I was just stating my preference, I think the Clearview range is very classic and can adapt well to any style of house, but like everything its personal
opinion, I can't fault ours its wonderful.
