I've tried playing with the IKEA kitchen planner but it's very limited (or I'm very stupid). Can anyone recommend a good application that I can download?

Thanks OnePlanOnHouzz but I see that costs 29$ per month Shock. Is it really worth that much? Can I just buy it for one month or am I going to be locked in for a year or something? I'd prefer to pay a one off fee.

I'm sure there's a free version ?! if not I've used interior designer for iPad - it's ok ... I use a proper cad system for my work - but that's ridiculous money and takes ages to learn ... sketch up is free ... can't think of any others at the moment ?!?

OnePlanOnHouzz · 08/09/2013 12:03

what is it exactly that you want to draw / design ?!

We are renovating our first house [aaargh] (at our age!) (old) and are looking at how to re-arrange the internals - the kitchen, bathroom etc.

ok - so if you are quite computer confident then try Sketch up - if not so computer savvy and if you have an iPad try interior designer for iPad £6.99 for the app !

I find the ikea planner ok. I like Homestyler for planning the space and furniture. Lots of American items to choose from but it gives you a goo 2D and 3D plan.
Also found Wren's free planner online quite good for layout ideas.
