Engineered floor over wet underfloor heating

Hi,
Has anyone installed engineered wood over wet underfloor heating and if so, is it possible to do it directly (or the very least a very thin underlay) without the need of a 18mm plywood invetween? If not possible and plywood is required to make the wooden floors solid, did the heat output reduced a lot?

Hi Audrey,

The best thing to do would be to use liquid screed (at 50ml) on top of your underfloor heating and most suppliers of engineered would recommend you lay tissue membrane (that they would supply) onto the screed, then lay your engineered wood directly onto that.
