Child-proof Wall Paint - Advice PLEASE!

We would like to re-paint our daughters' bedroom, and possibly also all the halls/stair-ways in our tall skinny house, which have been wrecked by small dirty hands constantly all over them.

Is it worth paying for something like Dulux Endurance, supposedly 20x tougher than normal emulsion, or is there a cheaper alternative? It would definitely need to be washable, and I would like some range of colours to choose from for my girls' room.

Any experienced painter/decorators out there who can advise me, please?

not worth the money Op best to use a vynl silk on walls so can easily be wiped!!! done my whole house in white! most things wipe off and just incase white can easily be purchased to cover up the odd mark!! if you use a coulour make sure you have extra left for any odd touch up you will need! have three children myself !

I've been really happy with Dulux Endurance. Got crayon off it last week although did use a mark / stain eraser rather than a normal cloth.

DD dragged me by the hand and proudly showed me her masterpiece. She's 21 months so I'd been waiting for this moment....!

Masonry paint is very durable.

I have dulux endurance in the lounge / hall. It's good, not perfect it's peeled when christmas decs have come down but for scrubability it's good.

I will be using it again when I get round to repainting.

I've started using b&q covers every where paint. Most stains wipe clean and if it really won't come off I get touch it up with a bit of paint. You don't have to stir it so no bother to do.

We've had our whole house painted in the past year and have gone back to endurance cause the once we had up just isn't any good with our under fives!

The hall only got painted in December and needs repainting as the dulux once can't handle it, it's ruined. We just put endurance in the kitchen diner and I managed to get red paint fingerprints off the walls, which are cream!

I guess it depends how messy your kids are. Ds could create mess sitting still so for us we've decided it's worth the extra cost and will be repainting the hall in endurance this time
