Estate agents

My husband and I are buying a property and our offer has been accepted. The estate agents recently sent a letter on my husband's name. My husband has been contacting the estate agents since he arranged a viewing initially. In this case, is it normal to put my husband name only on the letter? I expected our both name on the letter. We went to the viewing together and they have our both names on file.

Unless it is legal then it really isn't important. Just phone and ask for anything in the future to e mr and mrs.

If when he first called to enquiry about the property he didn't explicitly mention you, then they prob just have his name on the database, from which these compliance letters are auto generated. Just drop them a note letting them know it's a dual purchase. Good luck with your new house!

Yes normal. I organised most things for buying our house and everything got mysteriously changed to my husband's name. Until something went wrong of course and they needed to speak to the person who would actually act, then they remembered me. Normal but a sign of the sexist world we live in. Tell them.

not sexism, just the first name. I do all the contacting here and everything comes in my name, and I'm female.

When you speak to the solicitor doing the conveyancing and the mortgage broker, that is when you need both names.
