How to arrange putting scaffolding on neighbours land

We need to replace a roof on part of our property and the rear side of it is only accessible via two of our neighbours gardens.

It's a two story barn type building and there isn't any way of doing just from our side.

Obviously we will speak to both neighbours but I wondered if there was any standard procedure for this type of situation.

What will we do if they refuse access? as I can't see how we would be able to fix the roof.

I'm thinking it will cost us ££ as we may have to compensate our neighbours in some way.

Any advice would be most aprechiated. Thanks

I don't know all the ins and outs but in our previous house we received a letter from the council saying scaffolding was going up next door and might be on our land and would be going up from xxx date until xxxdate.

Maybe ring and ask the council planning/building regs office?

I don't think you are entitled to tresspass on your neighbours land and put up scaffolding.
Ask them for permission - most people are reasonable and would just say yes.
Do you expect their to be a problem?
Also, have you spoen to the scaffolding experts - they may see an alternative - but more expensive way that only involves scaffold on your land
