Megaflo vs normal water cylinder .... again!! Advice gratefully received!

Dear All, I know this was done some time ago, but any comments and help gratefully received. We have decided to upgrade our 13 year old E rated boiler, and also the very outdated thermal store, for which, apparently there are now no more spares. ie. when it packs up, that is it. The thermal store is kind of a reverse heating system, it has a thermal coil inside, so a bit like a permanent immersion heater - it is on ALL the time!!!!

We live in a 3 storey town house, and have had 4 different quotes to try and work out what we need. 2 of the quotes suggest we should have a megaflow 210 cylinder, so these quotes are in the region of £400-450 more than those for just the stainless steel cylinders ( Gledhill) which the others have quoted for, a more conventional water storage. Is a megaflow system really worth the money? We have 3 showers and 15 radiators working off the system. ( No bath - :()

Would be glad of any help or comments. Quotes are around the 5k mark at present.

Not knowledgeable I'm afraid, but we moved into current house three months ago. There is a megaflo system here - we are getting quotes for a new bathroom and have had around 6 bathroom fitters come to quote. All have expressed delight about the megaflo system. It seems to be liked by the professionals, and I don't have to have a power shower or electric shower because the megaflo means the water pressure is good. Up to now had no problems with it, but you may want to wait until someone more knowledgeable comes along.

PS we have two showers, one bath and fifteen radiators, if that is any help!

We have a mega flo and it seems great. We have a 5 bed house, with three bathrooms with showers going off it. The pressure is good so we dont have pumps for them. Our builders are fitting them in all their jobs, and I know quite a few of their customers who live nearby and haven't heard any complaints.

Don't know the difference, but have a megaflow cylinder and the water pressure for showers is fab. Like being in a posh hotel.

We paid the extra for a megaflop and the pressure is wonderful, tbh I wouldn't have anything else now.

Thanks so much all, sounds like the extra cash is worth it. Forgot to say we are going for a system boiler not a combi, so it sounds like the MF might be a good bet for us.
