Grohe or Aqualisa?

Okay, so I think I've got it down to either an Aqualisa Midas or a Grohe Euphoria. I think I slightly prefer how the Grohe looks, but know PigletJohn favours Aqualisa which is big plus points. How to choose??

Grohe products are better in my opinion. I have them in the kitchen, downstairs loo and family bathroom. Love them.

Ha! Did a double take as I thought this was a baby names thread Grin

Me too CakeAche Grin. I was trying to think of a nice way of saying please don't do this to your baby!

Put that down Aqualisa!

Thanks Sixties. Only thing swaying me to Aqualisa is that they're British and have a brass thingumy, which I think is a good thing. Will probably go with the Grohe though.

I'm not keen on bar mixer showers. I've had the best results with the ones with the works in a round mixer with one or two big round knobs on the front, for example the Aquavalve.

I think you are wise to go for an exposed mixer. When it goes wrong you can undo a couple of nuts and connect in a new mixer (standard pipe spacing) with no drama and no bashing into walls. Be sure to get a shower mixing bracket that fixes to the wall and the pipes, then the shower connects to the bracket. It would cost about £15, and save you £200 of extra work later.

I see you like drencher heads. They use a vast amount of water so fill a bucket at your bathtap, time it, calculate how many litres per minute you get.

I've just installed that aqualisa, on cheap deal at plumb centre. I like it. Always had hangsgrohe before and it's quite good in comparison. Chose it as larger head than comparably priced grohe. My brothers a plumber and moans at crap. He approved of both.

Grohe is probably the best taps available. They are installed in most hotels throughout the world so definitely go for them!!
