Would you be put off a house if...

it had only internal bathrooms? One, on the top floor, receives natural light from one of those light tubes the other - a wet room - is completely internals.

We are considering carving up rooms to get an extra much needed bedroom and bathroom, and this would be the effect.
The lack of windows wouldn't bother me one bit if the extraction was bang up to scratch, I just want to see what other people think when the time comes to sell.

Sorry it would put me off.

Our old house had no window in bathroom and when we were moving it was on my list of must haves for the new house.

It would put me off as our first house had an internal bathroom and I.hated it so 'window in the bathroom' has been on the list of must-haves ever since.

Thank you so, so much everyone. What this has shown me is that the person who was a bit so-so about my plans wasn't a complete one off and others are put off too, but it is kind of 50/50 so as it is a plan for me and my family it isn't a completely awful one as there would still be buyers out there.

Also, I have to be really thorough researching extractors.

I would worry about the energy needed to dry a windowless wet room in the UK.

I would worry about not being able to open the window after Dh had been in thereHmm

It would put me off if this was the only bedroom in the house, but if just an extra ensuite then it would be fine.

I agree with the poster above who mentioned the size of the bedrooms being a bigger issue. We viewed a few houses with 5 bedrooms, all ensuite, but the rooms were all really pokey and it really put us off.

Our ensuite (which we use twice daily) is completely internal and it's absolutely fine. Not damp at all. We have a good extractor and leave the door open after morning showers, etc.

My first flat had an internal bathroom. It didn't bother me and there was never a problem with mould, etc. TBH it didn't even cross my mind when I bought the place not at any time when I lived there.

I think if you make the bathroom really bloody fabulous, über chic hotel like, then you can get away with in. Really great lighting too.

Personally I like a window, but you need to make your home work for you.
