Moving to London - Tower Bridge area?? Thoughts?

We are moving to London from NYC and currently looking at a development called One Tower Bridge. We are used to high-rise living and would love to be in a building with amenities. While the development looks amazing, I don't know much about the area. I would love some input/thoughts on living in that part of London. Our main questions are safety, demographic (who lives there? Stereotype?) and commute into Chelsea as our children will be attending school there. Husband will be working in the city, which is clearly nearby, but I will have to drive the kids to and from Chelsea every day... is this doable?

Will your husband have a dedicated parking space at his office because there is no all-day, kerbside parking in the City and car parks are eye-wateringly expensive. The tube has improved a lot in the past few years and I think it would be much easier for you to work out a more family-friendly location near a school that also gives him an easy commute in (there are a million private schools in central London, you don't have to live in Chelsea, there may be an area that suits you all in terms of education and travel-time). Good luck - London is a great city if you can crack the schools/commute dichotomy Smile.

If you are considering notting hill, have you considered a school in notting hill area? There are some very good ones around ( especially boys schools), but also co ed

Then you are also walking distance to holland and Hyde park
