Grascrete and Stripy Carpet

Not in the same place, obviously!

I have a four story townhouse and I want to put stripy carpet through my stairs and landing but my question is, do I just do the stairs and have plain carpet on the landings? I'm not sure what is the "done" thing?

Layout of stairs and landing is a bit complicated as there are lots of single steps and little corridors (converted Victorian) so I'm not sure what would work best.

Also does anyone know anything about Grascrete or similar (looks like grass, but you can drive on it) as I want to put some in my garden.

Clueless!

My striped carpet came in a width that enabled the landing to be done too. I think it looks a bit odd not to continue it through. The fitters get around awkward little turns etc. When you get them out to measure you could double check? My carpet is on my blog www.colporter.tumblr.com if you want a nose. Probably 2 or 3 posts back as I have been a bit lazy of late.

I love your house! Looking at it again today I think the only thing to do is look at samples and see what the fitter thinks. I'll be having full-width but I love the way the "runner" looks and it would certainly break it up. So much to decide!

This is my last house, we used striped carpet on the stairs but cream on the two landings iyswim. Too much striped made my eyes go funny.

I have no idea what grascrete is sounds good though.

Hth :)
