Ikea kitchen range changing

We were thinking of putting new units in our kitchen and most likely we were going to go with IKEA as they offer the best value.
However doing some reading around on the IKEA fans website it seems IKEA have launched a new kitchen range in parts of Europe and it will be launching here next year. It won't be compatible with the current one but apparently people who have already got IKEA kitchens will be able to buy parts for their current range for 2 years.
Did everybody else know about this? We are not sure now whether to go for the kitchen we like or wait till the new range is launched. What would you all do?

Is there any links on these websites to photos of the new ranges? I can't imagine they would be so wildly different, there's only so many ways you can present a kitchen cupboard! Plus they will want t stay true to their style, although I could be wrong.

Have you actuall chosen your kitchen? If you have and really like it then
I would probably just go for it now.

Thanks for replying.
Hopefully this link will give more details on it. It seems Ikea are doing it to give more flexibility within the range.

The people on this forum have linked to a few places where you can see the new range.

We have sort of chosen it but now I am in a grass is greener situation as to whether I should wait and see what comes out.

Think it will cause problems for some over here though as the beauty of Ikea kitchens was that if anyone wanted to update in a few years time they could just buy new doors or extra cabinets etc and they would all fit. That won't be the case anymore though and I have no idea how they will honour their guarantee in a few years cos it will be hard to source replacements.

Armed with this knowledge, I am going to wait for the new stock

Yep I think that is what we are going to do, we like the idea of being able to update it at some point in the future. Even though I suppose they may change again at some point, the existing range has been out for a long time though.
I do think that IKEA should be letting people know a bit more though as could cause some problems for people.
